Analytics

Here at False Profit, LLC, we like to analyze human behavior data to maximize returns. But don’t get caught with the lazy thought that profits can only be measured in dollars. Think about ways to increase true value. Use the most advanced currency you can dream up.

And use advanced technology, too. For example, Google Analytics. Here we are providing an updated version of a very nice WordPress plugin originally written by Rich Boakes. This goal of this plugin is to make it easy to add the free Google Analytics tracking to your entire WordPress site. Because Rich released this plugin under GPL, it has been easy for us to build on his code and freely offer you this updated version.

Install

  • Put the file in your /wp-content/plugins directory. (Or, for WPMU, in your /wp-content/mu_plugins directory to enable tracking for all blogs on your site.)
  • Change the extension from txt to php.
  • On the plugins page, first disable any previous versions, then enable the new version.
  • Enter your UA string (which you’ll get from Google) and choose old- or new-style tracking. We recommend new-style tracking for all new installations.
