The balance of power in the ancient San Francisco-New York battle for cultural supremacy has tipped back and forth over the past decade, with some kind of physics-inspired Conservation of Awesomeness law holding it all together. Your hometown favorite, uh, town here suffered a serious loss in 09 when Matt Ganucheau moved back East for more school — after schooling so many here. Not only did he take his beats with him, but also his ever-attentive ear for quality. This month, in the interest of preventing the collapse of the universe and stuff, we’re turning over Equity to Mr. Ganucheau who will bring his own music as well as introduce us to the lovely sounds of his friend, mastermind theater.
