Dividend: Mr. Projectile, Audiovoid, Genji

Valued investors,

False Profit, LLC is pleased to inform you that your dividends have accrued and, due to interest, are now more than twice what you normally receive. After a month hiatus in honor of this city’s mad rush to drive hundreds of miles and spend weeks of income to get dusty in the desert together, the cheque’s in the mail. Between Burning Man and tomorrow’s Love … Fest, I imagine you’ll have had enough turntable action for a while. Good, because this month we offer you a taste of pure laptop bliss.

Just back from Seattle’s Decibel Festival where he opened for Orb member Thomas Felhmann, fresh SF transplant and Merck recording artist Mr. Projectile is poised to deliver a special dance set that’ll motivate your feet as much as your brain. In case you missed him at Nexus this year on the playa, come see why we’re now another point up on the rest of this country.

There’s no if in this spliff: Audiovoid is sparkin’ up the scene and getting ever increasing props for doing so. There’s a good reason for it; the sonic mastermind has a basket of custom brewed unrelentingly complex orchestrations of psychedelic breakbeats to deliver fresh to you. Subsonic frequencies abound as your subconscious zones, appreciating the drifts from midtempo groove to full-on freakout beats.

Genji will be opening up the night for all of you hanging on to the cutting edge of emerging talent in this city. Discovered over the summer at this years Field Day festival, Genji drops huge vats of hip-hop infused electronic music, taking influence from the likes of Modeselektor and Dabrye. Find out what you’re missing every time you show up late to Dividend.

That’s next week:
